The Band: Adorable - The Song: “Still Life” - The Record: Against Perfection

This is a song I’ve completely fallen in love with over the last month or so. The band is called Adorable and I guess they fell somewhere in between the shoegaze thing and the early stages of britpop. The whole record is incredible but this song in particular really stands out for me. This no bullshit reminds me of Brand New, like almost to a T. Anyone who likes newer Brand New (Daisy, D&G) can probably attest after listening to this song. It sounds like he’s singing about something pretty specific (miscarriage? abortion?) in the lyrics, but I’m not lyrical analyst so i’m going to leave that up to the imagination.
